Lions Club of San Remo invites everyone along to enjoy an evening of Christmas Carols and festivities on the San Remo Foreshore.

Grab your family and friends, a picnic basket and blanket and make a night of it whilst you join in singing or just sit back, relax and listen to all your favourite Christmas Carols and band.

Lions will be behind the BBQ so you can purchase a snag and a drink.

The evening will begin at 5.00pm with children’s activities, followed by carols at 7.45pm.

The evening will draw to a close  at 9.30pm with the Cowes Community Fireworks display.

PIARC’s (Phillip Island Auto Racing Club) traditional Island Magic race meeting at the end of this month celebrates 25 years as a consecutive and fitting conclusion to another great year of activity for the club at the Island Circuit.

With entries building in most categories, Island Magic Silver 2015 will stick with PIARC’s tried and true formula of non-stop racing with all the traditional races and categories including the 11th consecutive year for the CUE 1 Hour Victorian Tourist Trophy.
This year will again see a field of up to50 of the exotic and well known traditional Sports Cars competing for this well respected Trophy and also the Allan Simonsen Pole position award inaugurated by his friend and co-driver Ted Huglin.
Simonsen prior to his tragic death at Le Mans a couple of years ago was a three time winner at Island Magic in this CUE Event.

After last year’s massive Formula Vee Nationals with a capacity 58 car field producing the race of the year, the category has a benchmark that will be hard to beat. The other open wheel category at this meeting is Formula Ford which will feature both Formula Ford 1600 and Formula Ford and will be a season high for the category, competing for the highly coveted Phillip Island Formula Ford Trophy.

The other great events which include the iconic 50K Plate for Sports Sedans the fourth and final round of the 2015 Victorian Sports Sedan Championship.
These fast and furious cars will again be enjoying local support from Ramada Resort Phillip Island and promising to provide great entertainment for all race fans.

The Historic Touring Cars of the sixties and seventies are back to entertain in the Graham Slater Victorian Historic Touring Car Trophy for fans who like a little nostalgia, with Mustangs, Toranas, Camaros, GT Falcons, Cortinas and Minis.

New Magic for 2015 are the Hyundai Excel budget racers with over 25 cars to date, trying hard to match the brilliant capacity grid of 50 Improved Production Cars.

Don’t miss this event as Island Magic has produced a great way for both competitors and spectators to finish up a years racing at Australia’s most picturesque and challenging race circuit for 25 years. ISLAND MAGIC SILVER, come and celebrate.
