FAQ

Q. Is linen i.e. pillow cases, doona covers and sheets provided for all the beds?
A. Yes, unlike many other rentals in Phillip Island we provide all linen for the beds. Nothing worse that lugging all that linen in the car down to the Island.

Q. What do we need to bring?
A. Food, drinks and toiletries (shampoo etc). Although we have a wide range of DVD’s / VHS (old movie tapes) and music CD’s you should also bring along your own favourites. Magazines and books are provided in the upstairs reading room. There’s also a Nespresso coffee machine. Limited coffee pods are supplied so bring extra if you’re a keen coffee drinker!

Q. Can we fish from the beach and what do we need to bring?
A. Fishing rods / reels and gear (hooks / sinkers) are supplied. Just bring your own bait (plastic baits supplied however).

Q. Are towels, bed linen and porta cot provided.
A. Yes. However, we do not provide linen for the baby porta cot. Please BYO.

Q. Do we need to bring beach gear i.e. umbrella, chairs?
A. No. Boogie boards (adults and kids), umbrella and beach chairs are provided. There’s even some beach toys for the children to play with. Don’t forget your sunscreen.
We even have a kayak and adult life vests. For young adults please bring your own life jackets / vests. The kayak is not to be used in rough weather – adult supervision required.

Q. Is there undercover parking for a car?
A. Yes, for one car. The road to Silverdreams is sealed.

Q. I have a small fishing boat. Can I store it there during my stay and there is a mention about a wet berth just outside of the beach house?
A. Yes. Store boat in driveway. Just 5 minutes drive and you can unload your boat at Rhyll. Also, there is a boat mooring for Silverdreams – the first bouy as you look out to the bay. Send us an email regarding this as additional fees may apply to use this facility.

Q. How safe is Silverleaves beach to swim in?
A. The beach is very safe. There are no currents, undertows or waves. The water is knee to waist deep and on low tide you can walk out more than 400 metres. Suitable swimming area for children. Every 6 hours the tide is either fully in or fully out. It makes a great walking beach either for leisure or a brisk morning walk.
