Togs on for the Classics Weekend at Phillip Island: Have you got what it takes?!

Are you an Ironman at heart? Do you love the idea of ocean swimming? If you’re the type of person who’s idea of a good time is smashing eight weetbix in the morning and then conquering a few kms of freestyle, the Phillip Island and Cowes Classics Weekend of swimming races might be right up your alley!

The weekend is comprised of two main races, the Cowes Classic on Saturday the 28th of February and the Phillip Island Penguin Classic on Sunday the 1st of March.

The Saturday event involves a tide assisted 500m swim and finishes with a 4km run that takes competitors down past beautiful Silverleaves beach and finishes on the Esplanade.

On Sunday, the Penguin Classic is a swim only event with two levels of entry. The first premier length is a 2km swim beginning at Silverleaves, and the second, an 800m swim. Both of these lengths finish at the Cowes foreshore.

Both events are great fun and are supported and celebrated by the entire coastal community. Come join the adrenalin and give it a go, or simply come to cheer on the amazing competitors!

This is a busy, bustling time for fitness fanatics down at Phillip Island so make sure you book your Classics weekend at Silverdreams Beach House ASAP! No better place to recover from a long, strenuous swim event than on a beach front balcony in absolute luxury?
